Bitpanda Joins Forces with Banks To Develop Digital Assets ETPs

• European trading platform Bitpanda and Raiffeisenlandesbank join hands to explore the offering of digital assets to customers.
• Galaxy Digital and DWS partner up to develop a set of exchange-traded products (ETPs) for listing in Europe.

Bitpanda Joins Hands with Raiffeisenlandesbank

European trading platform Bitpanda announced that it has agreed with one of Austria’s leading traditional banks, Raiffeisenlandesbank, to explore ways of offering digital assets to their customers. The bank plans to offer its customers a broad range of cryptocurrencies, stocks, ETFs, precious metals, and commodities through Bitpanda’s SaaS offering. However, trading will not go live this week as this is just the beginning of the collaboration.

Galaxy Digital and DWS Partner Up

Crypto-focused financial services firm Galaxy Digital partnered with asset manager DWS in order to develop a set of exchange-traded products (ETPs) for listing in Europe. This alliance is expected to combine DWS’s portfolio management, product structuring, and distribution expertise across liquid and illiquid asset classes with Galaxy’s technical infrastructure and asset management and research capabilities for digital assets. The two firms are hoping that this strategic alliance will be “a catalyst for both firms to jointly profit from emerging digital asset opportunities”.

Nexo Launches Nexo Private

Crypto lender Nexo introduced Nexo Private – an exclusive suite of digital asset wealth management solutions designed specifically for high-value private customers – which comes with various complementing service features such as dedicated relationship management, personalized onboarding, custom terms and rates, superior OTC services, priority support etcetera.

China Expands CBDC on WeChat

China’s biggest messenger WeChat said that it extended the use of the country’s central bank digitial currency (CBDC) payments to transactions happening through its short video and mini-app platforms which cover merchants ranging from small influencers or brands promoting products on the app itself. This update is an expansion from when WeChat started supporting digital yuan payments back in March 2021.

NEAR Goes Live as Blockchain Operating System

Finally NEAR protocol went live as “a blockchain operating system” according to their announcement earlier today on Twitter. It aims at becoming an open source platform that allows developers build decentralized applications while providing users access to blockchain technology without technical knowledge requirements by using simple tools instead like Ledger hardware wallets or Coinbase accounts etcetera.
